Tel Aviv, Israel — Check Point Software Technologies has announced its acquisition of Veriti Cybersecurity, a startup specializing in automated threat exposure management. The deal, estimated at over $100 million, is expected to close by the end of Q2 2025.
This marks the first acquisition under the leadership of CEO Nadav Zafrir and reflects the company’s effort to enhance its response to increasingly sophisticated, AI-driven cyber threats.
Veriti’s Preemptive Approach to Cybersecurity
Veriti was founded in 2021 by Adi Ikan and Oren Koren, both veterans of Check Point and Israel’s elite Unit 8200 cyber intelligence unit. The company has raised $28.5 million from investors including Insight Partners and NFX and officially launched its platform in 2023.
Veriti’s core innovation is Preemptive Exposure Management (PEM), which continuously identifies and fixes risks across a wide range of security tools without disrupting business operations. The platform integrates with over 70 third-party vendors to deliver real-time protection.
Advanced Automation and Seamless Integration
The platform automates two major cybersecurity tasks. First, it applies virtual patches across different security tools instantly, reducing response time from weeks to minutes. Second, it enforces real-time threat intelligence by automatically securing systems like firewalls, cloud platforms, and endpoints.
Its API-based design means no agents are required, making it easier to deploy. It also customizes protection based on each organization’s specific network layout and existing defenses.
Strengthening Strategic Partnerships
The acquisition enhances Check Point’s collaboration with cloud security firm Wiz. Veriti’s platform will now pull in cloud exposure data from Wiz and use Check Point gateways to apply protective virtual patches automatically. This highlights Veriti’s ability to coordinate across multiple vendors to build a unified defense system.
“The acquisition of Veriti marks a significant step toward realizing our hybrid mesh security vision,” said Check Point CEO Nadav Zafrir. “It strengthens the Infinity Platform’s open approach, enabling seamless, multi-vendor risk management.”
Veriti’s technology will be integrated into Check Point’s Infinity Platform under the Threat Exposure and Risk Management unit.
